Welcome back to the Archivist Dominion citizens. I've
managed to get Riff-Raff working again. Ended up talking to Technologist
Corvainos. One of those Cassian's. Anyway, he was telling me about apprenticing
in being a technologist. I've always had to rely on others when I've found any
relics or omni-plasm for someone else to put it to use for me. I guess spending
half an hour with him means that you can listen to my broadcasts again. So yes
the matrix is now fixed which is optimal.
But back to what happened.
I was approaching the station when I received comms from Zin herself. She was apparently far too busy with press at that minute so I, and I alone, had to power up the station. I presume she was talking to me anyway. What she had failed to mention that although there was no wildlife in the area, the Eldan security mechanisms and constructs were still active. I prefer to keep any mechanical engineering or Eldan tech under my control. Not trying to murder me! Speaking of which, after I had finally activated the structure, I teleported in; only to find the Caretaker still active, but his systems degraded. Someone with that much influence, knowledge and power, with an ability to turn on you in a nano second. Pretty terrifying. Zin was playing celebrity again, so I wandered the facility looking for the key to the Data Cube.
In my expedition I found that this facility was to transmit data for the entire region into space. The cube held all the information from the area. Undegraded. The only problem was access. The Caretaker could not get in so this key was our only ticket. The Eldan relied heavily on their technology to such a degree that a failsafe manual override was not something I expected they would have ever put in. They were so sure about their own technology, but I guess that the data needed to be preserved at all costs and for all of time. Unfortunately, and this, dear listeners, is the worst of the tale. Those damned Exiles corrupted the facility and when Zin tried to access the cube with my key the data was destroyed. Yes the Exiles have cast the first stone and the look on Zin's face was priceless but we WAR! Perhaps I take the destroying Elden tech a bit too personally.
So techies and that one omni-plasm engineer, you don't match the vileness of the Exiles so you've been demoted down my list. Well I have no idea what to do next. Perhaps I'll go visit those Pell if I remember the briefing notes. Something about primal water? Anyway, I'm Graxxus, on Nexus. angry and grieving, and you have been listening to the Archivist.
